Orkney Hospital

Working on the new NHS Hospital (The Balfour) situated on the mainland of the Orkney Isles, seen over 14,000 sqm of floor coverings installed.

Working in Orkney presented a unique set of challenges, which included but were certainly not limited to remoteness of the island, delivery logistics and challenging climatic conditions.

Veitchi communicated closely with the Robertson site team to ensure pre-load of the building was essential to reduce the vulnerability of deliveries.
