Role

We are now looking to employ a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to become part of our team.
Full Time/Permanent – Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 17:00pm & Friday, 08:00am to 16:00pm.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.
Working closely with the Contracts Management, Estimating & Buying departments to ensure the commercial viability of contracts.
Taking an active role in Veitchi Flooring supply chain management to ensure relationships are developed with key manufacturers, suppliers & subcontractors.
Taking full commercial control of projects. Preparing interim valuations and agreeing final accounts.
Placing all subcontract orders to ensure best value for business.
Preparing monthly cost to value reports
Carrying out Site Measurements
Controlling Variations and all other Project costs.
Agreeing and negotiating Final account settlements.

Knowledge, Experience & Requirements

Honesty and Integrity are key requirements.
Comfortable working with minimal supervision and ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative.
Able to show track record of performing within a performance management environment, consistently achieving better than tender margins.
Experience with Software such as Microsoft outlook, word and excel.
Driving License Essential
